Enjoy a nearshore cruise along some of Northern Michigan's most exclusive waterfront and cap off the adventure as the sun sets over the water.
Nearby Destination Cruise
4 hours - $1500
Pick a nearby port for shopping, a meal, or an ice cream cone and a stroll. We can suggest a great place to grab a bite... or a 5 o'clock somewhere cocktail! After arriving by boat your captain will wait for your return trip. The journey and the destination are sure to create special memories!
Regional Destination Cruise
8 hours - $2750
Harbors such as Charlevoix, Elk Rapids, Beaver Island, or the captains favorite Northport, are all within an easy day cruise. Where do you want to go... and arrive on a classic yacht? Let's Go!
Overnight Destination Cruise
Mackinac Island or another special destination? Contact us to build a custom cruise, with or without overnight stays, and let us take you where you want to go... in style!

Dockside Cruising - Or Event
What is A Dockside Cruise?
Perhaps its due to weather or the type of event you want to host, you can enjoy Ports-North without ever leaving the dock! Depending on your needs we can host up to 12 dockside.
Larger Parties
We can take a group of up to six out on the water. What if you want your event, or part of it, to include more people? Contact us about a dockside "cruise".... and maybe get out on the water with part of the group before or after!
Meetings
Perhaps you are hosting your church group or civic club, or the executive committee of the board of trustees, and want a unique space, or maybe you are doing a team building retreat... We can host your group meeting on board! Contact us about your meeting needs.... and let us know if you need a professional facilitator!
Celebrations
Birthday? Wedding shower? Groomsmen or bridesmaids? We can certainly host your group of up to six on the water... but if you've got a larger party you might consider a dockside "cruise". Imagine just the mom's and bride, and the groom and dads joining in, and leaving the party after the celebration by yacht.

All of our cruises are for your party of up to 6 only... Private!
Children 6 and older are welcome with their parents or grandparents. If you are cruising with children please contact us ahead of time so we can share some of our knowledge, learn a bit about your kids, and all be prepared for a safe and fun experience.
Also, if you have a condition that might require medication while on board, or if you may need special assistance boarding, or any other special request we want to hear from you before your cruise.

I have been on the waters of Northern Michigan for over 50 years and have captained vessels from 14 - 65 feet. It's a pleasure to share the beauty of my home waters with visitors and guests. Whether you are experiencing your very first boat ride or are an "old salt" who has been out many times, I will make your cruise a special experience! From then on you'll be part of the Ports-North Family. See you on the water!
Ports-North- The Vessel
We operate a 42' Ocean Alexander. This classic yacht is known for her quality and craftsmanship, her stability on the water, and her safe & reliable service. She is powered by twin Caterpillar 3208 engines making 375 hp each. Her salon (the indoors) is spacious and comfortably appointed in rich woodwork throughout, her cockpit (the back porch) has a teak sole and is plenty of space to gather and to enjoy your time on the water. Ask your captain about exploring the view from the fly bridge... it is spectacular!
